The selection of friction stay
The selection of firction stay depends on the window weight and size.
Friction stay should bear the weight of the sash (glass + profile)*safety factor 1.3-1.5
Selection of its length:normally is 2/3 of the window width,or 1/2 if the window is lighter.
The length of friction stay can be referred according to the two requirements above.
The maximum opening angle of the sash is relevant with the selection of the friction stay and its installation.
Different size and type of friction stays cannot be installed on the same windows.
